A free community for former corporate leaders

Make the conversation
worth the time.

You bring years of leadership experience into your independent practice. The Solo Project gives that experience a peer setting: a place to examine difficult decisions with others who understand what it means to be accountable.

Proposed founding format

One case.
A focused peer clinic.
A practical next move.

One practitioner brings a live question. A small group explores the situation, tests the assumptions and helps the case owner decide what to do next.

We’re shaping the first sessions with the founding circle. Dates, group size and session length will be confirmed before you decide to attend.

  1. 01

    Frame the decision

A short brief: the situation, what you have tried, the constraint and the question you need to resolve. Keep client details anonymous.

  2. 02

    Let peers challenge the diagnosis

Separate what is known from what is assumed. Draw on comparable experience and make the trade-offs explicit.

  3. 03

Leave with a working next step

The intended output is a concise decision brief, workshop approach or next conversation you can test in the engagement.

  4. 04

    Bring the learning back

When useful, share what happened and what you would change. Experience becomes more valuable when others can learn from its limits.

Who this is for

You bring experience.
You stay open to challenge.

You’ve held a senior management or executive role inside a company. Today, you work as an independent consultant, interim leader or transformation practitioner. You understand the distance between a sound recommendation and a decision people can actually implement.

YOUR WORK

You have led from inside the organisation.

You have carried responsibility for people, budgets, a function or a business. You bring that operating experience to your client work and to the peer discussion.

YOUR ATTITUDE

You welcome a rigorous second opinion.

You can explain your reasoning and change your mind when another practitioner sees something you missed.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

You help make the room useful.

You bring questions, methods and considered feedback—and respect the time and confidentiality of the people around you.

From practitioners. For practitioners.

Leave the client
more capable.

Our shared standard for the work: help people understand, decide and act—and make the result usable after the consultant leaves.

01

Get close to the work.

Understand the real handoffs, exceptions and pressures before prescribing an answer.

02

Build with the client.

Use working sessions to make choices and responsibilities explicit. Help the organisation own the result.

03

Use AI with judgment.

Use technology to organise information and accelerate preparation. Keep practitioners accountable for interpretation and decisions.

Meet the founder

Bjoern Greiff

Executive consultant
International IT executive

Professional background ↗

Experience on both sides of the recommendation.

Bjoern’s professional background includes CTO, CIO and COO responsibilities across IT, operations and eCommerce, including work on the multichannel process and systems landscape at Media Markt Russia.

The Solo Project connects that executive perspective with a practical belief: experienced independent consultants can become more effective when they work through difficult questions together.

This is a founding community. You can speak directly with Bjoern about your work, what you would value from the circle, and what you could contribute.

Before you join

A few fair questions.

What does membership cost?

The community is free. Commercial tools are optional and separate; joining does not require a purchase.

How much time will it take?

The first format we’re proposing is a focused case clinic. We’ll confirm the agenda, session length and dates before you decide to participate. There is no recurring attendance commitment at this introduction stage.

What can I share about a client?

Only information you are authorised to discuss. Remove identifying details and bring the consulting question. Community participation does not change your obligations to a client.

Who will be in the room?

We’re forming the founding circle around independent practitioners with previous senior management or executive experience. Your introduction helps us understand the responsibilities you have held, your current practice and the peer exchange you would value.

What happens when I express interest?

Your introduction goes directly to Bjoern by email. The next step is a conversation about fit and the founding format. This introduction lets you explore the community before committing your time to a session.
